(Am using Task icon default set to clip, but that does not allow capture of hover messages shortcut key does.) Youre probably also aware that beginning in Windows 8 the default shortcut of Windows Key + S stopped functioning because that shortcut became a part of the operating system to launch the search tool.
Onenote screen clipping tool windows 10 upgrade#
This is company PC - I am testing Windows 10 - so OneNote upgrade (even if free) not possible. Anyone that has discovered the OneNote screen clipping shortcut is aware that it is far better than Windows OS built in snipping tool. Searched online but found nothing indicating cause/fix. Has to be related to Build 10586 or one of the Office updates, but clueless. Drag the selection over the pictures you intend to group. Activate the screen clipping tool by pressing the Windows logo key + Shift + S. Click on a blank part of the page to deselect all the photos. Place the images on a central page where you want them to appear. Tried another not already taken (afaik) shortcut key (Win + B), did not work either (tried sign out then tried reboot). This process entails taking a screen clipping of the photos you intend to group.

After installing Build 10586 (November 2015 release)Īnd Office 2010 updates yesterday, registry key still intact but does not work any more.

Had the OneNote 2010 screen clipping working great (no issues) in Windows 10 RTM with Win + J via registry setting (ScreenClippingShortcutKey) per instructions for fixing Cortana taking Win + S. The Windows 10 forum suggested I try Office forum for my issue.
